Jung’s Archetypes and Motivation Values
This is research for my graduation thesis project as an interior architecture and furniture designer: Jung’s archetypes and motivation values: user profiles studies applied to furniture design.
The purpose of this study was to combine four different theories about user profiles into a cohesive framework accessible through common integration points. The objective was to build a design brief for a piece of furniture specifically tailored to the user information at each interaction point.
The results, demonstrated by three different furniture pieces, confirm that the four theories can effectively work together as a system, integrating user information into tailored design briefs. This approach not only personalises the design process but also aligns user profiles, values, and lifestyles with product development.
